Experience
I began my college career as a community college student at Central Virginia Community College (CVCC). I worked in the math lab, where I served as a test proctor and tutor to other students. I made my way to the University of Virginia as a transfer student, where I received a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics with a minor in Education. I had the intention of beginning a career in teaching after graduation, but I became engrossed in the study of mathematics and stayed at UVA until I completed a Master of Science in Math after two additional years of study. After obtaining my master's at UVA, I went to work for the National Security Agency (NSA) where I worked in cryptography. Currently, I am a teacher at ITT-Tech where I instruct students in the areas of math and statistics. I have also taught college algebra at El Camino Community College.I have worked as a math tutor since high school. I tutor all levels of Math, however, I greatly enjoy helping students with the subjects of Calculus, Statistics, and Algebra. I am happy to return to teaching after working as a professional mathematician. I live in the Palos Verdes, CA area and primarily tutor math at all levels, from Elementary Math to Multivariable Calculus. I can also help students in AP- and IB-level Math and Computer Science courses.
